Abstract

These Regulations, made by the Minister of Agriculture under section 15 of the Agricultural Product Standards Act, place restrictions on the sale of canned fruit of various kinds that does not comply with requirements laid down by these Regulations. Canned fruit shall comply with requirements regarding standards, grading and classification and packing and labelling. The Regulations also provide for the sampling and inspection of canned fruit. The Regulations define specific quality requirements for each specified type of fruit which is canned.
