Abstract

These Regulations, deemed to be made under section 23 of the Plant Quarantine Act of 2008, require any owner or occupier of land whereon flying locusts have appeared, or whereon flying locusts have deposited eggs, or another insect called "voetganger" has appeared, to proceed with the destroying of such locusts, eggs or voetgangers. This shall be done in addition to any steps which the Administrator-General takes or prescribes. Insecticide and spraying apparatus may be made available to an owner or occupier.
