Abstract

These Regulations, made in terms of section 55 of the Allied Health Professions Act, 2004, defines the scope of practice of an environmental health practitioner, which falls under the classification as allied or complementary health practitioner. The Regulations define acts pertaining to the profession of environmental health practitioner in the conducting the practice. Activities are related, among other things, to water and food safety, waste management and pollution control.
