Abstract

These Regulations, made under section 15 of the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act, 1972, prohibit the production of milk except in a milking shed approved local authority. A local authority shall issue, at certain conditions, a certificate of acceptability in respect of a milking shed. The Regulations set out technical and hygienic standards for milking sheds and milking equipment. The Regulations also provide rules for the handling of milk and concern the health status of dairy stock.
