Abstract

These Regulations, surviving the under Animal Health Act, prescribe that no cattle, sheep, goats, pigs or other cloven-hoofed animals shall be moved into or out of the foot and mouth areas described in the schedules hereto, or from any one place to any other place within those areas, except under the authority of a written permit issued by a state veterinarian and subject to such conditions as he or she may specify in such permit. Restrictions are also placed on the moving out or moving within an areas of other defined animal product or defined vegetable product from such areas.
