Abstract

Regulations contained in the Schedule are made by Minister of Water Affairs and Forestry in respect of use of water for mining and related activities aimed at the protection of water resources. Any person intending to operate a new mine or conduct any new (mining) activity (as defined in regulation 1) must notify the Department of such intention not less than 14 days before the start of such operation or activity (reg. 2).
