These Regulations nominate the competent authorities that shall determine standards for the pollution of air, waters and soil. They also prescribe prevention methods and the use of air, water and soil quality monitoring systems. Waters are classified in three categories such as: I) waters used for activities which requires drinking quality, ii) waters used in animal husbandry, for aquatic sports, fisheries, etc, iii) waters used for irrigation and for industrial activities.
