Abstract

This Regulation concerns determination of the live animals, other breeding material, animal waste, animal products and composite products (of both plant and animal origin) from countries outside the EEA, for which veterinary border inspection is to be carried out at a border control station or an outlying control centre. For animals and products, etc. Listed in Appendix I to this Regulation, veterinary border inspection shall be carried out at a border inspection station or underlying inspection centre in accordance with the provisions of Regulation no. 1163 of 1999 on supervision and control of import and transit, etc. of animal foods and products of animal origin, etc. from third countries and regulations no. 1484 of 1998 on supervision and control of imports and exports of live animals, other breeding material and animal waste within the EEA, and of imports of live animals from third countries. The Regulation also concerns fish and fish products.
