Abstract

These Regulations are enacted in order to protect and improve people’s environment and ecological environment, prevent and control environment pollution and other public hazards, safeguard human health and facilitate the coordinated development of environmental protection and economic construction. The Regulations contain 58 Articles divided into 7 Chapters: General Provisions; Supervision and Administration on the Environment; Administration on the Environment of Construction Projects; Protecting and Improving the Living and Ecological Environment; Preventing and Controlling Environmental Pollution and other Public Hazards; Legal Liabilities; Supplementary Provisions.
