Abstract

These Regulations provides for amending the General Regulations on Water and Sewerage Services no. R/23 of 2021. The Amendments concern: subsection (3) of section 7 of the main Regulations, on freshwater production for water supply system, and the need for renewable energy sources for water abstraction; the addition of a new subparagraph to section 13, concerning the maintenance of registers for rainwater storage; the insertion of new paragraphs after section 15 (h) concerning: provision of water services after flooding or other natural disasters; duties and responsibilities of the local authorities; details on costs of public water supply systems; establishment of social areas in the villages and provision of related water services; improvement of sewage and wastewater treatment systems; section 23(h) of the main Regulations on the preparation of a local Plans for water safety, sanitation safety, national water security.
