Abstract These Regulations, made under section 16 of the Agricultural Pests Act, 1983 (Act no. 36 of 1983), provide for amending the Regulations published by Government Notice no. R. 111 of 27 January 1984, by replacing the table 1 concerning fees payable for specific services, including: import control; inspection of goods; disinfection and treatment after examination; imported controlled goods purification from declared organisms; issuance of a permit to authorise importation of controlled goods; biochemical test, examination or analysis of samples, taken for identification and detection of bacteria, fungi, insects, virus, and other organisms; herbaceous indexing for the detection of viruses; appeal according to section 11 of the Act; approval of quarantine facilities for evaluation of imported controlled goods; transport and storage of imported controlled goods.
