Abstract

These Regulations, made under section 15 of the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act, 1972 concern hygienic requirements for the handling, transport and storage of food. A local authority shall issue, at certain conditions, a certificate of acceptability in respect of a food premises. The Regulations set out standards and requirements for food premises and food handling equipment, and define duties of food handlers, in particular of those who handle meat.
