Abstract

The Regulations provide for subsidies or loans in respect of works additional to boreholes for the abstraction of water, such as appliances, reservoirs and drinking troughs. The applicant must be a "bona fide" farmer and the water must be used for livestock farming and domestic purposes (sect. 2). Applications are made with the Secretary of Water Affairs. The amount of subsidy is specified in section 13.
