Abstract

Poultry or bird carcases as well as products derived thereof (frozen, dried, dehydrated, salted, pickled, smoked or value-added) originating in any country and destined to human consumption may be imported into the territory of Malaysia only upon the import licence referred to in Regulation 1. Moreover, each consignment shall be accompanied by a veterinary health certification so as to guarantee that the products concerned come from a country or part of a country free of any disease which might determine hazards to consumers’ health. Regulation 4 deals with transportation. Further conditions, including inspections to be carried out by the competent officers, are established under regulation 6.
