Abstract

Milk (liquid milk and milk powder) and dairy products (cheese, ice cream, butter) may be imported from any country into Malaysia only upon import licence to be granted by the Department of Veterinary Services. Each consignment shall furthermore be accompanied by a veterinary health certificate certifying that: (a) the country of origin has been free from diseases; (b) the milk or milk products derive from animals that have been examined, tested and certified to be free from tuberculosis and healthy; (c) the milk or milk products were processed, packed and stored under sanitary conditions and do not contain any preservative, colouring matter, residue or foreign substance or harmful material. Regulation 3 deals with transportation.
