Amendments deal with standard of the Synthetic dyes that are permitted to be used as colouring substances in food as follows: Pure dye minimum 85%; Water insoluble matter maximum 0.1%; Subsidiary dye maximum 4%; Ether extractable matter 0.2%; Intermediates maximum 0.5%.
