Abstract

This Regulation regulates the harmful effects of distillery residue, also known as slop, cachaça or "distillery lees" on the quality of inland waters. Starting with the 1979/1980 harvest, dumping, directly or indirectly, of distillery slop into any catch basin by alcohol distilleries located or that may come to be located in Brazil, is prohibited.
