Abstract These amendments concern the identification of animals before transportation (sect. 27), the transportation plan (sect. 28) in accordance with Annex II of the EC Council regulation 1255/97, maximum allowed transport time (sect. 32), and hygienic and sanitary requirements placed upon resting stations (sect. 38). Section 39, here also amended, concerns the approval and control of resting stations and the inspection of animals.
