Abstract

The present Regulation is made under the Sustainable Forest Development Act. The Regulation lays down provisions relating to the scaling of timber harvested in forests in the domain of the State. The text consists of 23 sections divided into 9 Divisions as follows: General (I); Scaling methods and authorization of the method (II); Scaling sites (III); Scaling in the cutting area before transportation (IV); Scaling outside the cutting area after transportation (V); Transmission of certain forms containing scaling or inventory data (VI); Fees payable for the loss of scaling, inventory or transportation forms (VII); Standards applicable to sealed containers (VIII); Verification of scaling and correction (IX); Offences (X); Miscellaneous (XI). One Schedule is enclosed.
