The purpose of the Regulation is to regulate the storing and sale of fresh fruits and vegetables intended for human consumption in fresh condition. Section 2 establishes that it is forbidden to purchase, prepare, or hold with a view to sale, to place on sale or in storage or sell in any place, or to transport or cause to be transported, or to accept for any destination within Québec any fruits or vegetables unfit for consumption or which do not meet the requirements as to quality, grading, conditioning, marking, or other conditions specified in the present Regulation.
