Abstract This Regulation lays down procedures and principles regarding the authorization of environmental remediation activities of areas exposed to radioactive pollution. Environmental improvement activities within the scope of this Regulation shall only be carried out with the permission obtained from the Nuclear Regulatory Board. The main principle of this Regulation is polluter pays principle. Receiving services from a legal entity to carry out environmental remediation activities does not reduce or eliminate the liability of the polluter. The organization which is authorized by the Nuclear Regulatory Board for environmental remediation activities, shall carry out its activities in a way that ensures protection from radiation and prevents the spread of contamination.
