Abstract This Regulation sets forth provisions on the purpose, scope, management, functions and administration of the center of the Cankiri Karatekin University. The main functions of the research and application centre on wildlife of the Cankiri Karatekin University are (I) to carry out studies on the determination of systematic, genetic and ecological features of wild fauna and flora, (II) to carry out biological and ecological research on wild fauna and flora, (III) to carry out studies on the protection of endangered species, protected species and their habitats, (IV) to take measures against the spread of animal disease, (V) to offer solutions for natural and anthropogenic problems, (VI) to establish protected area, zoo, shelter, and observatories, (VII) to raise public awareness through training sessions, seminars, conferences and publications, (VIII) to organize activities to strengthen the link between wildlife and ecotourism, and (IX) to develop new research methods. In order to carry out all these activities, the Centre shall develop the infrastructure of the laboratories and other related structures.
