This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette, and fully in use from 1 January 2013 (art. 55, 56, 57, 58, 59 and 93).
Abstract

This Regulation prescribes all necessary conditions and standards in terms of quality of ground meat, meat preparations and meat products, as follows: classification, categorization and product name; physical, chemical, physico-chemical and sensory characteristics, as well as the composition of the product; physical, chemical, physico-chemical and sensory characteristics of raw materials, as well as the type and quantity of raw materials, additives and other substances used in the manufacture and processing of products; methods of testing the quality of the product; essential elements of technological processes that are used in the production and processing of products; additional packaging and labelling provisions.
