This Regulation entered into force on 17 December 2003.
Abstract

This Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, which is composed of 11 articles and three Annexes, sets out detailed requirements for full and partial origin, means and methods of verification of the origin, content, format and the issue of pedigree certificates for semen, ova and embryos from equidae registered for breeding. The following methods of verification of the origin are allowed: (1) review of data available in zootechnical documents; (2) review of the exterior of equine animals; (3) analysis of blood groups; (4) molecular biological methods for the analysis of genome. The certificate for semen, ova and embryos from equidae registered for breeding contains the following information: name and address of the issuer; name of the register; herd number of the animal; date of issue; method of animal identification; identification of blood groups; date of birth; name and address of the holder; information on parents with identification of herd numbers.
