Abstract This Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, which is composed of 11 articles and four Annexes, lays down ways and methods of verification of the origin, content, format and conditions of issuing of pedigree certificates for hybrid breeding pigs, their semen, ova and embryos. The following methods of verification of the origin are allowed: (1) review of data available in zootechnical documents; (2) review of the exterior of pigs; (3) analysis of blood groups; (4) molecular biological methods for the analysis of the genome. The certificate for hybrid breeding pigs contains the following information: name and address of the issuer; name of the register; herd number of the animal; date of issue; method of animal identification; identification of animals; date of birth; genotype and line; sex; name and address of the breeder; name and address of the owner. The certificate for the semen of hybrid breeding pigs must include all the information specified for the certificate of the male pig which gave the semen, data allowing identification of semen, information on semen collection, date of collection, address and name of the organization where it was collected, and the address of the recipient.
