Abstract

This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Law on waste management, prescribes basic technical conditions and conditions in terms of protection of the environment to be met by waste transfer stations, including the conditions that should be met by all locations where waste transferring station are build or placed, as well as deadlines for storage of waste in such transfer stations according to related types of waste. Transfer stations should be located and operate in a way that allows the minimum possible impact on the environment and life and health of the people. Only the following types of waste can be received at transfer stations: household waste and similar waste from commercial, industrial and administrative activity including fractions of selected waste; garden waste and park waste (including cemetery waste). In case of closure of the transfer station all the waste there located should be stated and appropriate measures to minimize threats to the environment, life and health of people shall be taken.
