This text entered into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette (published on 2 February 2012).
Abstract

This Regulation prescribes the method of application of enological agents and procedures, their characteristics, as well as the maximum approved quantities of enological agents used in the production of wine. Maximum amounts of substances that are officially approved for oenological procedures are listed in the Annex, among other relevant technical information and related parameters. This text is harmonized with the provisions contained in the Commission Regulation (EC) No. 606/2009 laying down certain detailed rules for implementing Council Regulation (EC) No. 479/2008 as regards the categories of grapevine products, oenological practices and the applicable restrictions.
