Abstract

This Regulation prescribes the method and procedure for performing phytosanitary inspection of plants, plant products and other objects and consignments at points of entry into the Republic of Macedonia. The phytosanitary inspection at the state entry point or in its immediate vicinity, which is officially in charge for carrying out such phytosanitary inspections, shall execute designated inspectional measures and procedures in appropriate premises, by using appropriate apparatus and equipment (plant health verification methods). This text is also in compliance with the provisions stipulated in the Commission Directive 98/22/EC laying down the minimum conditions for carrying out plant health checks in the Community, at inspection posts other than those at the place of destination, of plants, plant products or other objects coming from third countries.
