Abstract

This Regulation determines the procedural indications on changing the purpose of forest land into construction land. This kind of land use conversion is possible only if it is allowed by the valid spatial plan and its deriving arrangements. Permission to change the purpose of forest land into construction land is issued in the form of a decision, issued by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, with the prior opinion of the cantonal ministry in charge of forestry, among opinions of the Federal Forestry Administration. Only the owner of the land or the concessionaire can submit a request for changing the purpose of forest land into construction land.
