Abstract This Regulation, as in accordance with provisions of the Serbian Law on waste management, prescribes the manner and related procedures for pharmaceutical waste management purposes. Pharmaceutical waste management is a set of measures that include collection, sorting, packaging, labeling, storage, transport and treatment of waste with the aim of its final disposal in a safe manner for human, animal and environmental health meanings. All pharmacies established as health care institutions, veterinary organizations, as well as pharmacies established as private practices, present on the territory of the Republic of Serbia, shall enter into contractual relations with persons officially authorized for the collection and transport or treatment/storage or reuse/disposal/export of pharmaceutical waste.
