This Regulation entered into force on 18 February 2003.
Abstract

This Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food establishes provisions concerning identification and registration of bovine animals, monitoring of the movement of cattle, register of breeders of cattle, cattle passport, the central register of bovine animals, ear tag and method of supplying ear tags, the public service for identification and registration, and supervision of the implementation of these provisions. Cattle must be identified as soon as possible after birth or before being moved to another location, not later than 20 days old. This Regulation is composed of 54 articles divided into the following Sections: General provisions (Sec. 1); Central register of bovine animals (Sec. 2); Authorized organizations (Sec. 3); Delivery and ordering ear tags (Sec. 4); Control (Sec. 5); Transitional and final provisions (Sec. 6).
