Abstract

The purpose of this Regulation of the Minister of Marine Economy and Inland Navigation is to specify the principles of rational fishing management. Rational fishing management consists in using the productive possibilities of waters, in accordance with the fishing survey, in a way that does not affect the interests of those entitled to fishing in the same basin, preserving fishing resources in a biological balance and at a level enabling economic use of them by future fishermen. The present Regulation, which is composed of 12 articles, lays down: (1) methods of preparing the fishing survey; (2) detailed requirements to be met by the fishing survey; (3) units authorized to provide opinions on fishing surveys; (4) methods of assessing the fishing survey.
