Abstract

This Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, which is composed of 11 articles, sets out the structure, functions, competences and working methods of the Expert Council for Protection of Animals. The Chairman, Deputy and members of the Expert Council are appointed by the minister responsible for veterinary from recognized experts in veterinary, medical, biological, pharmaceutical and zootechnical professions and representatives of organizations working to protect animals from cruelty. The Expert Council gives opinions, suggestions and definitions to specific questions within the competence of the Veterinary Administration of the Republic of Slovenia, on its own initiative as well as other organizations and institutions.
