Abstract This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Croatian Law on radiological and nuclear safety, determines the requirements related to the content, manner, scope and deadlines of quality programmes for verification and establishment and maintenance of effective safety management and administration in organizations dealing with nuclear facilities and activities that pose a radiation hazard. These rules shall apply to the establishment, implementation, evaluation and permanent improvement of the management system for: a) nuclear installations; b) activities with sources of ionizing radiation; c) radioactive waste management; d) transport of radioactive material; e) radiation protection activities; f) any other activity or circumstance in which people may be exposed to radiation from natural or artificial sources; g) regulation of such nuclear facilities and activities. The general and special requirements for the management system prescribed by this Regulation apply to nuclear installations other than nuclear power plants.
