Abstract

This Regulation establishes four different breeding areas in which there are ecological and natural conditions for survival, successful development and reproduction of the brown bear. A map of breeding areas for brown bears is attached to this text, see Annex (breeding areas denominated as follows: "Plješevica-Vitorog"; "Vlašić-Vranica"; "Konjuh-Gostović"; "Bjelašnica-Čvrsnica"). Brown bear management plans for the breeding area are agreed by users of interested hunting grounds, and approved by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry. Outside these breeding areas, the brown bear is not protected by hunting bans or closed seasons.
