Abstract This Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, which is composed of nine articles, establishes detailed conditions of selection, assessment and recognition of pure-bred breeding pigs, and conditions of entry of pure-bred breeding pigs in the herd book. In particular, to qualify for entry in the main section of the book of its breed a pure-bred breeding pig must: (1) be descended from parents and grandparents entered in the herd-book of the same breed; (2) be labeled in accordance with provisions governing the labeling of pigs and in accordance with the breeding program; (3) their origin must be in accordance with provisions governing the origin of pure-bred breeding pigs.
