Abstract This Regulation, based on the provisions Macedonian Law on tobacco, tobacco products and related products, prescribes the criteria and methods and parameters for qualitative and quantitative assessment of tobacco. Criteria and methods for qualitative and quantitative assessment of raw tobacco leafs apply to: oriental aromatic tobaccos that include the types: prilep, collar, pocket and basmak with their varieties with leaf length up to 20 cm; riental additional tobacco that covers the types: Prilep, Jaka, Jebel and basmak with their varieties with a leaf length over 20 cm; semi-oriental tobacco which includes the type olja with its varieties; coarse-grained tobacco that includes the types: Virginia and Burley with their varieties.
