Abstract

This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Law on waters, prescribes the detailed manner of preparation of river basin management plans, as well as a description of activities and results of public participation in the preparation of such plans. The purpose of this text is to establish an integrated approach to preparation of river basin management plans for the protection and sustainable use of water resources on the national territory. The integration and harmonization of various planning documents applies to each Plan and to measures contained in the same, as their implementation can affect the achievement of objectives of good water status. It shall be taken special care of: determining the differences and introducing unified measures; improving the efficiency of the management of the river basin area; involvement of all interested parties in the procedure for preparation of the related plan.
