Abstract This Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food establishes requirements for premises, equipment and personnel to carry out disinfection, desinsection and deratization in facilities for animal rearing and means of transport for animals to prevent the spread of infectious diseases of animals. This Regulation applies also to slaughterhouses and collectors of animal carcasses and waste. Disinfection, desinsection and deratization may be carried out by veterinary organizations and the National Veterinary Institute which meet conditions specified in this Regulation, under the concession granted by the Veterinary Administration of the Republic of Slovenia in accordance with the law governing veterinary medicine. Such organizations must have the following facilities: (1) space with adequate office equipment; (2) cloakroom with shower and toilet; (3) space for storage of resources for disinfection, desinsection and deratization; (4) space or protected place for the preparation of solutions, emulsions or lures; (5) space or special secure place for storage of hazardous chemicals; (6) space or protected location for temporary storage of residues of plants, packaging and other materials used during disinfection, desinsection and deratization.
