Abstract

This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Law on waters, prescribes the conditions, the manner and related emission limit values for the discharge of wastewater after their treatment, including the manner of their calculation, also by taking into account special requirements for protection of water protection zones. The purpose of this text is to control emissions and to protect the environment from harmful effects of discharged wastewater. Wastewater is the industrial wastewater and water discharged from treatment plants of urban wastewater or sewerage system, except household wastewater and precipitation water. Calculation of emission limit values for wastewater discharge is an analysis of all parameters of a certain sample from discharged waste (through measurements and tests taking into account the quality of the recipient). This Regulation is harmonized with the provisions of the Council Directive 91/271/EEC concerning urban waste water treatment. The Annex is also part of this publication (full set of indicated parameters and listed standards).
