Abstract The present Regulation of the Council of Ministers is composed of four Sections: Composition of the Council for Atomic Affairs (sect. 1); Scope of Council Operations (sect. 2); Mode of Council Operations (sect. 3); Final Provisions (sect. 4). The Council gives opinions and advices the President of the Agency. In particular, the Council initiates and gives opinions on the actions concerning: radiation protection and nuclear safety in Poland; social education policy with regard to the application of nuclear technology and nuclear power engineering; promotion of basic and applied research in sciences related to the scope of operations of the Agency President; cooperation with foreign authorities in relation to the areas mentioned above; and dissemination of information on atomic energy initiatives.
