Abstract

This Regulation prescribes the composition, method of appointing of members, scope and method of work of the Expert Council for Plant Health. The Council is an expert advisory body in the field of plant health and performs the following tasks: a) giving advice on the introduction of measures to prevent the introduction, spread and suppression of harmful organisms; b) proposing special surveillance programs in BiH and reviewing reports on the implementation of these programs; c) proposing scientific and educational activities in the field of plant health; d) monitoring systemic and developmental issues in the field of plant health and proposing priority tasks; e) proposing an assessment of priority risks from harmful organisms; f) proposing development plans in the field of plant health; g) cooperation in creating the basis for the preparation of legal regulations; h) giving comments and answers to the request of EPPO and IPPC for the regulation of certain harmful organisms; i) performs other professional tasks in the field of plant health in accordance with regulations and at request of the Director.
