Abstract

State nature reserve of federal significance "Stone steppe" is constituted for the purpose of conservation and restoration of environmentally protective anthropogenic agro-forest landscapes. The main task of the reserve shall be protection of natural complexes through state control over compliance with the established protection regime, coordination of the haymaking areas, coordination of felling in forest plantations and allotment of land plots for gardening and horticulture. Scientific research activity in the reserve is aimed at studying natural environment and long-term tracing of natural processes with a view of assessment and forecast of the ecological state of environment. The following activities shall be prohibited in the reserve: (a) all types of felling, except for clean cutting, sanitary felling and experimental restoration cutting; (b) movement of vehicles off the common use roads; (c) organization of encampments, rest halts and fire making outside authorized areas; (d) allotment of land plots for construction; (e) exploration and mining; (f) all types of hunting; (g) industrial procurement of medicinal and other plants, mushrooms, berries, fruits, seeds; (h) plowing of land outside arable land; and (i) stubble burning and agricultural burns.
