Abstract This Regulation, pursuant to article III, Programme 2, Section I, Subsection B item 1 of the Loan Agreement (Competitive Agriculture Project) between the Republic of Serbia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, provides types of eligible investments and costs, conditions and manner of exercising the right to grants, persons exercising the right to grants, as well as the minimum and maximum amount of grants per beneficiary for the implementation of the Competitive Agriculture Project. Eligible types of investments are: 1) preparatory costs; 2) capital investments; 3) investments in human resources; 4) investments for professional and technical assistance and training of users for the use of grants. These investments are meant for: 1) investments aimed at improving the competitiveness of primary agricultural production in livestock in the field of milk production; 2) investments aimed at improving the competitiveness of primary agricultural production in livestock in the field of meat production; 3) investments aimed at improving the competitiveness of primary agricultural production in animal husbandry in the field of beekeeping; 4) investments aimed at improving the competitiveness of primary agricultural production in livestock in the field of aquaculture; 5) investments aimed at improving the competitiveness of primary plant production in the field of fruit, vegetables, grapes and flowers; 6) investments aimed at improving the competitiveness of primary plant production in the field of production of other crops; 7) investments aimed at improving the income on the agricultural farm through engaging in activities in the field of old and artistic crafts, ie domestic handicrafts. Article 9 of this Regulation lists the costs and activities that are not eligible for support, including but not limited to the production or trade of any product or activity that is considered illegal or subject to international prohibitions under the laws or regulations of the host country or international conventions and agreements, such as pharmaceuticals, pesticides/herbicides, substances that deplete the ozone layer, PCBs (Polychlorinated bipheny), and wild animals or products regulated by CITES.
