It is located on the territory of Yamalo-Nenets autonomous region. Reserve shall have the following purposes: (a) conservation and protection of natural ecosystems with a view of conservation of biological diversity and ecosystem preservation; (b) research; (c) ecological monitoring; (d) ecological education; and (e) training of scientific personnel. The following activities shall be prohibited on the territory of reserve: (a) all types of hunting; (b) exploration and mining; (c) modification of hydrological state of soil; (d) construction; (e) application of chemicals and fertilizers; (f) logging and procurement of non-timber forest products; and (h) introduction and acclimatization of living organisms.
