Abstract

This Regulation, based on the provisions of the national Law on environmental noise protection, determines rules regarding the special types of noise sources. This text further sets conditions that must be met by facilities or plants, equipment, installations and devices that are used in open space, in terms of emitted noise and related noise protection standards. Outdoor equipment is equipment that is self-propelled or movable and which, regardless of the drive element, is intended for outdoor use, thus contributing to emissions of environmental noise. This Regulation is harmonized with the provisions of the Directive 2000/14/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to the noise emission in the environment by equipment for use outdoors.
