This Regulation enters into force on the day after its publication in the Official Gazette (published on 29 March 2016).
Abstract

This Regulation prescribes the special requirements for extraction solvents or food extractors, which can be used in the production of food and food ingredients, including their conditions for use in terms of food production, maximum allowed levels of residues of such agents in finished food products, and maximum permitted levels of residues of extraction agents in aromas that are obtained from natural sources. The use of food additives, vitamins and other nutritional additives should not results in food containing levels of residues from extraction solvents that are harmful for human health.
