In addition requirements sets out in this Regulation, cage birds in private ownership from third countries must be introduced in accordance with Regulations No. 542 of 2016 on non-commercial movement of pets. It is only allowed to introduce cage birds in private ownership from countries outside the EEA that are members of the world Animal Health Organization (OIE).
