The rules do not apply to solvent agents used in the production of food additives, vitamins and other nutrients, unless specified in the Annex. Only substances specified in the Annex may be used as solvents/extractants in the manufacturing of food and food ingredients. Specific labelling requirements are also included in the Regulation.
