The present Regulation contains rules for snus and chewing tobacco that are intended to be marketed in Sweden. Further rules on snus and chewing tobacco are found in the Act (2018:2088) on tobacco and similar products. Only the food additives specified in the Annex may be included in snus and chewing tobacco. They shall be used for the functions listed in Annex I of Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 on food additives. Only aromas, including smoke aromas, and additives with flavoring properties that may be used in food may be included in snus and chewing tobacco in order to give or change the smell or taste.
